Tool Bar Twice As Thick
Hi All:
After changing the batteries in my wireless mouse, the Tool Bar is twice as thick as it was before. I din't know if I did something while changing the batteries or not. In any case, I would like to get it back to it's normal thickness, but can't figure out how to do it. Please let me know if you know how, and thanks ahead of time for all input. WinXP Pro, Tool Bar at bottom of screen, using small icons.

Right click on any blue area on the toolbar, usually to the right of your open windows. Make sure that "Lock the Taskbar" is unchcked - else, select it to unlock it. Then click on the top part of the toolbar, and drag downwards until it's half its height. Optionally, you can lock your toolbar to prevent unintentional changes by right-clicking on the blue area of the toolbar again and selecting "Lock the Taskbar" (same as before).
Now, by "Tool Bar" if you are referring to the small icons on the lower left hand corner of the screen by default, follow the same steps above except after unlocking the toolbar if needed, click on the area between the last toolbar and your open windows. There should be a thick dotted line to denote where to click. Drag to the left to appropriate width. Lock toolbar as described above as needed. kram
