problems with xp home
I have compaq presario laptop loaded with win xp home edition.Of late very often the machine shuts down with the message "A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.KERNEL_STACK_INPAGE_ERROR.This happens even in SAFE mode.Even after restoring windows to a previous setting using recovery console the problem is not solved.Can any one help.

Most common causes are a failing hard drive or a MBR virus.

The stop code is oxoooo0077.
How to remove MBR virus if it is due to virus and how do i replace hard disk. Thanks in advance for the suggestions. rajas3 |
