First, you need to get the driver for the ethernet when that's done, you can get online and down the rest of the driver for your system. (if it's a Dell go to Dell's website, ect.)

Is your system a Dell, HP, or any of the manufacturer then go to their website and down the drivers from there. If not go download CPUZ google it, run it and it will tell you who made the m/b what model and do some search for it.

Does the Device Manager tell you what brand and/or model of network adapter you have?

Its a custom built pc, motherboard is as above, network adapter on device manager is just down as 1394 net adapter, properties say its made by microsoft and that its working properly. Its the 'other devices' that aren't.

The Ethernet adapter on that board is a Via VT6105L.

That is not a custom PC if it has that motherboard unless it's been recycled - that's a proprietary MSI made only for Medion.

You need to install the Intel chipset driver first.

The PCI comms controller is the dialup modem, if you don't need it, remove it.
