Boom Willy

Hi
I;m a new member and what i am asking has most likely been posted before. I have a virus tha i can't get rid of. So i have downloaded software that will kill everything on mt hard driive.
My questin is how do i get it up and running again to the point of being able to reload my Operating System. I only know enough about computers to be dangerous, so please don;t leave out any of the simple instrutions assuming that i know it. Because i probably don't.
Many thanks
Willy

What version of Windows do you have? I'll move this to the appropriate forum.

Windows Xp professional service pack 2

You say you have moved this to public forum. I am still trying to find my way around as i am a new member so where do i click to find this forum. I am registered partialy sighted (Please note: it dosn't worry me none) But it does mean i have to magnify my desk top and have to do a lot of srolling. So it is very helpful if told where i can find, Eg by telling me that it's halfway up or halway down.
Joking aside, when you can't see the whole page it is very handy to know the approximate position to scroll too.
I look forward to your repply ( Lets hope i can find it).
Kind regards
willy, (Tim)
ps Willy was my nick name when i was working.

I'm moving this to the Windows XP forum, and I will leave a redirect in here so you can find it. It's about halfway down the page, third one down in the Software category. I have also sent you a private message with a direct link to this thread.
