new pc, cant install old programs ??
photoshop 7 wont install? an old Bible program wont? what gives?
sorry if i posted this in the wrong area, should probably be in general software.

I put the cd in and nothing happens. the window pops up that gives you a selection of what to do so i open folder to view files and then click on the "set up" Icon and nothing happens, I get the hour glass by the mouse pointer then the hour glass stops and thats it.
could it be my cd rom not reading it? the thing is bran new man. I will put in my old one to see if thats the problem. on one of the programs i get a joshua.dll error |

ok got that one fixed but I had to drag the exe file to my start button to have a shortcut and the program is not in my "all programs"

OMG..... I had to reinstall this program and they had me go through some folder permission thing where you right click on the main folder of the program go to properties then sharing then security and do a bunch of crud that totally confused me.
NOW when i try to start the program I get the error...."you dont have authorization to use this program" this is what i found to be my last resort before committing harry carry. http://biblesoft.com/new/support/act...questionid=223 will this work or do you guys have any better ideas? thanks. my version is 4.0 of the program. os is xp pro. |
