Red face Need advice!

Hi,first time user so here goes,
I am having probs when I try to save pics in "my pictures folder".
The hard drive OR processor seem to take forever to save a pic.
It seems like its reading everthing in "my pictures folder" first before it saves anything.
If I make a seperate folder in my pictures its ok,but reads everything before it lets me make a folder!
Even if I go to my Pictures folder & just move stuff around, ie move stuff into folders it takes ages for it to go into a folder.
Have done Nortons scan, ccleaner, regcure & all is ok!
Adjusted virtual memory & no difference,
Any suggestions?

Use the mouse to enlarge the window - (do NOT just maximize it), then when you close the window, hold the Shift key down when clicking the X.
