Cannot change boot order in bios

This used to work OK but when i try to change the order (at present floppy is first) The cursor is over :Hard Disk Priority : and the selection arrow is of to the left of it. The up/down buttons on keyboard have no effect,ie. does not move arrow. If i try the up/down buttons on another page in bios they work fine. Any suggestions would be appreciated apart from updating bios as the computer is working fine apart from this.I have tried uninstalling floppy disk controller but no luck there.

Read the on-screen instructions for keyboard navigation carefully.

I suspect you either have to use PageUp/PageDown, and/or need to hit the enter key.

Try doing a BIOS reset using the mobo jumper or removing the mobo battery and PSU power cable for ten minutes.
The only difference you will see in your OS is the date and time will be wrong.
