Driver Missing
When I first boot up my PC, a "New Hardware Found" box appears titled MICROSOFT UAA BUS DRIVER FOR HIGH DEFINITION AUDIO. When I clicked on the recommended search for it in windows, the search icon appears and then this message appears.
"The file 'hdaubus.sys on window driver cabinet is needed" and for me to type the path. Where can I find the file? If I it is not in the system from where can I download it from? |

Done that Glc but no joy. Here's what's happening.
After booting the Found New Hardware Wizard dialogue box appears looking for the software for Microsoft UAA Bus driver for High Definition Audio. I selected to install automatically (recommended). Then this statement appears "The file "hdaubus.sys on windows driver cabinet is needed." And for me to type the path. So I typed C:\windows\driver cache\i386\sp3.cab, then clicked OK. Then the dialogue box "Please wait while the wizard installs the software" appears and showed a scene with files flying from one folder to another. No indication on the progress bar however. That's were it stayed. NOTE: In the Device Manager under the Systems, was listed the Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for High Definition Audio. It's properties indicated it is working properly. What is this device anyway? I have SoundMax as my sound system and I do have sound. Any ideas? |
