Plug & Play Software Device Enumerator
Hi All,
XP became unstable so I tried various things and ended up repairing the OS using Recovery Console. The system now boots but I notice in Device Manager that Plug & Play Software Device Enumerator has the dreaded exclamation mark beside it; my dvd drive also (both Code 39). The start button and task bar are also inaccessible - a left or right click results in a 'beep' and nothing more.
Any advice would be appreciated.
I'm running XP Home SP1 Intel D845PEBT2 MB with 1.5 GB RAM.
