Administrator Account Questions

I am having two problems here. My sons computer is running Windows XP. Presently I have three accounts, Administrator which is password protected. I have "David" which is a password protected administrator account. I then I have "Ryan" (my son) which is not password protected and is a regular user account.

First problem: What I am trying to do is delete the "Administrator" administrator account and keep the "David" administrator account. The problem is XP says I can delete one of the two administrator accounts but when I follow the directions on how to do this, there is seemingly no actual check box or any other sort of thing which allows me to do this.

Problem two: I was downloading, installing and running scans with some anti-malware software. During one of the scans, I decided to set up the above administrative an user accounts. After I got done setting up the accounts and setting the passwords, XP no longer allows me to install any software downloads that I attempt. I get a pop up box that says I need administrator privileges to do this. I am though already logged on as an administrator. What is now preventing me from installing software?

FYI, I am running the computer in Safe Mode only until I can load in more anti-malware software and run the scans. I did successfully load, install and run a scan with Malwarebytes and Avast. The computer is not allowing me to install. CCleaner, AVG 8.5, SuperAnti or BitDefender. Yes, I know this seems like overkill, but Malwarebytes alone found 6 viruses and dozens of trojans and I want to make sure I rid the computer of every last one of them by running multiple anti-malware applications.
