XP -- student profiles getting lost
We have some brand new XP computers in a lab and there's getting to be a lot of students who have a corrupt profile when they come back to class the next day. If there a way to fix the corrupted file(s), or a way to prevent the corruption from occurring in the first place?

Where are the profiles - on each workstation or are they roaming profiles on a server?

Those links tell me how to fix the profiles that are already corrupted. Is there anything that tells me what could be causing the problem in the first place?
I've done a google search and found a few theories on how to fix it, but of what I read, I only found one that seemed like it might apply to our situation--disable caching on the local hard drive. I'll try that when I get time to get in to the lab. |
