hi guys.
I got a big one here, i think. Ok I have a laptop. Hp Compact 6530b, loaded with windows Xp pro. ... Last thing done to it? Was networking it up at home, and having trouble when I noticed that I could change it from Dc to a workgroup, (to see if this could help), I tried it. So of course I lost my user account. I freaked here!!! after an hour of freaking out (Need my e-mail back) i thought of restore!! So I restored it to 3 days ago. booted, all was back as it should. Ya!! I thought. the next day I saw that the battary was drained so I pluged her in, booted... BSOD "stop 00007b" rebooted hit f8 last known good= bsod safe mode= bsod safe+ command prompts = bsod vga mode= bsod. all options =bsod I got a windows xp cd booted it. It loaded the files but at "starting windows" =bsod. I now am in a total panic!!! What can I try now??!! thank you. |

Update:
Hi again, I ran spinrite and memtest, both had no errors. I also got my hands on a Cd boot OS "Knoppix". It loads a ubantu os to memory it seems to of worked. I did not play too much in that OS, not familiar with it. I wanted it to see if there was a hardware or software issue here. I think its a software problem, but then why is the windows CD not working???
