Computer won't boot. Help

I was online on my desktop computer, all of a sudden adobe reader 6.0 opened and my cumputer shut down. I didn't open adobe reader it just happened. it was only booting in safe mode, and now it won't even boot in safe mode. whats wrong with my computer? Help

ps. when I try to start it normal it goes to the screen where xp is loading for like 1 second, then the screen flashes blue (has words but flashes to quick to read) and then then restarts over again. now when i'm trying to boot in safe mode the screen says:
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1) WINDOWS/system32/drivers/ then it has a whole bunch of abreviations like (sptd.sys, scsiport.sys, wmilib.sys, and a whole bunch other). and it just stays frozen on that screen, I have to unplug it to restart.

What type of computer is this? store bought branded or a custom build?
If it is a custom build please list the full specifications.

Troubleshooting

Please list down the configuration of your computer.

Did you install any software or hardware before you started to have this problem with your computer? If you haven't and this computer is out of companies warantee, then do the following:
If you have any other computer or friends computer ,just take out this Hard Drive and insert it into your
friends computer as a secondary drive and boot your friends computer to its former drive and start
scanning your hard drive. If your friends computer doesnot have an anti-virus installed but if he has an internet connection then use the online free scanner of www.ewido.net or www.trendmicro.com

Fwallis, Ewido was bought out by AVG a couple years ago and there is no longer an online scanner available. I think you may want to update your cheat sheets and scripts.
