XP vs. XP pro

Looking for some comments on the virtues of running XP Pro vs XP home. In the past I just considered Pro to be a more expensive version of XP with features I didn't care about.
But I am now currently trying to install/configure SQL server and Visual Developer for ASP.net. For learning reasons and a possible project. It is not easy to control the services that need to get started or stopped in Home.
So I may want to pick up a copy of Pro If I can find at a reasonable price. To do an upgrade from Home to Pro. Which is most likely a reinstall.
So those that have used both, give me some comments.....

If you're using services and servers and are developing for the platform then you would definitely be better off with Pro. Home is really a cripple-ware of Pro .. and while you can still do most of the things, Pro is just a lot more efficient and complete.
For a lot of features .. like permissions etc .. you could still handle it thru the safe mode in Home.
