Registry Cleaner

Hi, I desperately need to clean up the Administrative Assistant's computer. I did remove some programs, but I need to check and clean the registry. What is the recommended one? Thanks.

CC Cleaner. It's great and it's free.

I'm sorry, maybe I asked for the wrong thing. I have used that. Will that also fix registry errors? That is more I guess what I am looking for, or does CCleaner do both?

Ccleaner has one of the safest registry cleaners there is built into it. It usually takes two to three passes to clean up a registry for the first time, keep scanning until it finds no more bad entries.

Great, thanks! The recommended scan link from here found tons of errors, but I wasn't sure how accurate it was.

That's just trying to sell you the program.

Another vote for ccleaner. It's an excellent program.
Be sure to let ccleaner do a backup before cleaning the registry.

Yeah, GLC, normally I wouldn't bother with things like that, but since the link was on PCMECH and has been for some time, I gave it a shot.

rjfvillarosa, after I saw it was a separate tab or button I remembered probably having seen it before, but I had only used the top button (including the programs) on CCleaner. DUH.
