Stop Error: 0x000000E3
I have an xp, recently everytime I start up my computer, this blue screen pops up saying "A thread tried to release a resource it did not own." even when I try to go on safe mode this pops up. What should I do?

That is a problem with the NTFS file system.
Boot with the XP CD and use the Recovery Console. http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixthe...s/rconsole.htm At the prompt, type: chkdsk /p |

Is the reinstallation os cd usable for that? becuz whenever I try to boot from it it seems like it can't use it

nvm, i got the cd to work, but it still goes to the blue screen even after i did the recovery
|

Um this might help too. Evertime I start the comp it goes to the menu that says last known configuration. After I pick one of them it blue screens
|

Did you do a system recovery, or did you run chkdsk /p?
What kind of XP CD is this? Is this a name brand computer? |

I have a Dell dimension 3000, and the cd is a reinstallation cd for xp home edition from Dell

Press F12 immediately on startup and run system diagnostics. If all your hardware is good, you will probably have to reformat the drive and reinstall everything from scratch.
