Photo Files
I have no problem opening some photo files sent to me thru attachments such as JPEG but most I am unable to open such as ".gif", albm0, etc. How will I be able to open other photo files? Do I have to buy special software? I get lots of phot files from friends and relatives but only the jpeg I can open. The others I am told to let Window search but no joy on that.

The .gif should open with almost any program.
After saving the file to your desktop - right click on it and Select "Open With" and then select MS Paint or Internet Explorer. *** Make sure you UNCHECK the always open with box till you find the applcation that works best. |

When you install it, click the "images only" button on the association page and it will open almost any graphics format out there automatically, unless it's a proprietary format that requires very specific software. If people send you those, ask them to use something standard instead. Jpeg, gif, tif, bmp, png - those are all standard. Not a CLUE what "albm0" is. Last edited by glc; 11-10-2009 at 06:01 AM. |
