Fujitsu Seimens amilo L7300.

First off all. im sorry if this is in the wrong place.
All of a sudden my amilo L7300 wont boot up, It gets as far as the black screen with the windows logo and just hangs there.
Ive also tried to boot up using safe mode but its a no go, it just hangs on the bios window that shows all the drivers.( hope that makes sense).
I did a memory test using memtest that i burned to disc, the disc was a Bootable disc which did the test on startup, the test came back 100% fine.
Ive also removed the HDD and used a 2.5 to 3.5 ide adaptor to check the HDD on my desktop, Again there were no error's and HDD passed the test.
I thought maybe it was a bios problem ( maybe faulty ?), So i downloaded the bios and put on disc, But it looks like i have no way of flashing the bios as the laptop wont boot up ? Or "is" there a way ?
Just wondering if anyone else might have incured this problem, and if they got it fixed without taking it to a PC repair shop.
A little info bellow. Just to add,, running windows xp home ( original disc)

Have you tried removing all peripheral devices and removing that sound card from the PC Card slot?

thanks for the reply glc.
No preripheral devices attached, and using the basic components in the comp as when i bought it. still the same. Do you think maybe a faulty motherboard ?
I havent a clue on how i could test a motherboard on a laptop, If it is the motherboard at fault, ive read that i'd be better off buying a new laptop, at this time of year thats a no no !!

Before you consider trashing the system or looking for a mobo upgrade .. have you considered re-installing Windows?

Do you have a floppy drive on that laptop? If you want to consider flashing the BIOS
download the BIOS and create a BIOS disk .. read instructions here: http://support.ts.fujitsu.com/downlo...ash%20-%20BIOS (read below if the link doesnt work)
You need a bootable DOS disk .. you can download one from here: http://www.bootdisk.com/

Either way .. you need to go here: http://support.ts.fujitsu.com/COM/su...downloads.html and download the BIOS, if you are doing a BIOS flash. If you are going to reinstall Windows .. download all the latest drivers for your computer from that website and keep it at hand BEFORE you start your Windows installation.

This may "will" sound stupid glc !!!
But how would i do that ? ive never heard off zero filling, i could probably hook it up to my pc and format it (i think), if thats what you mean.

Just googled zero filling and doing some reading m8, but if you could suggest how you yourself would go about it, Remembering i have to use a 2.5 / 3.5 adaptor to conect to my pc.

Apreciate your guidance......... Thank you.

www.dban.org

However, the diagnostic software you used to test it may have a zero fill utility included. Just disconnect the other drives in the computer to make sure you don't zero out the wrong drive. Run it from a bootdisk, you can't zero fill from Windows.

burned the iso to disc, im asuming that because its a bootable disc i wont need to remove the hdd from the laptop and connect to my pc ?
I could just boot from cd in the laptop bios and it will run even though the laptop wont boot into windows. Is this correct ?

Correct - as long as you burned the iso correctly.
