new HD install and wont fully boot

I just replaced a crashed seagate HDD with a new WD Caviar Black 750. I did the new install formatted the drive and installed XP. I added a few basic programs and battlefield 2, after doing a restart it will no longer boot all the way up. It gets just passed BIOS and then my monitor shuts off and the computer just runs with no display. Any ideas?

Does your graphics card work on another set up you have in the house?

Download the Western Digital Diagnostics for DOS, and burn the CD. Boot with the CD and see if you can run diagnostics.
