Selling Windows XP? Or Transferring Ownership?

I have a bunch of eBay listings schedule to start on Sunday for old computer stuff, and I have a Copy of Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 that I was wondering if I could sell. I was wondering if anyone knew the legality of doing this. It's an OEM copy that I purchased off of newegg a few years back. It *has* been activated (once, on a custom build I did, the one in my sig). However, I am now using Windows 7 and XP Professional ONLY, with licenses purchased through my school...in other words, I'm no longer using the XP Media Center Edition on any of my machines.

Here is an example, this guy is doing exactly what I am asking about.

Technically, no - OEM cannot be resold except with the computer it was originally installed on. That listing is technically illegal. Find a lower key way of selling it.

Be sure and offer a Money Back Guarantee if yours won't activate.

Course getting the buyer to prove it won't activate etc....

If worse come to worse - you could use it as a VirtualPC install.

Yeah, I may just hold onto it or try to sell it locally as GLC said
