i real need help on formating my hard drive ave tryied But everythime it tell me that window can not format the selected drive, i will appreciate any hel you can offer
its a p2 OS window xp yours Mwafrika

Could you provide a bit more info regarding the physical description of your pc?
You are running Win XP on pentium II..? How much memory do you have and how many hard drives are installed? How are you trying to format the hard drive (with os on it)? |

there are 1 hd on it But a friend helped me and partined it so the os in on a and b i use it for backing up document and ols music and memory is Ok prent
i was just using the normal format command ! why? is there any software i can download and i use it to format? |

You cannot format an active OS hard drive in Windows. You have to boot with the XP CD and format it as part of a reinstall.
