Cpu trouble

I recently formatted my cpu...its Windows Me edition.....3 diffrent blue screens are coming up and im still unable to correctly install windows....The errors are Config Intilailization Failed....Symbolic Intialization Failed....and IrQL Not Less Or Equal.....Please help me....thx in advance

4 main possibilities:

1. Defective ram.
2. Defective hard drive.
3. Defective or dirty CD.
4. Defective or dirty CD drive.

I have seen also a failing PSU produce those sympotms.

www.memtest.org has ram diagnostics, and your hard drive manufacturer will have diagnostics. CD's and CD drives can be cleaned.
