screen resolution

I alway keep My screen resolution at: 800 X 600 Pixels.
Suddenly it has changed to: 1024 X 768.
I can't seem to get it back to the origianal setting even when changing it in the properties tab.
Thanks,
Jack

Please explain what can't seem means? In other words - what happens/doesn't happen when you try?

Did you make ANY type of change to the pc right before this issue started?

Question Sceen Resolution

Thanks EZYSTVY!
Made absolutly no changes.
It started with just the google home page.
I restarted it to try and clear the problem up and now they are all doing it.
I believe this is the resolution most work at, but I find it way too small.

do you have a video card in the pc? (nvidia / ati) if so the driver software may be overriding the screen resolution. right clicking on the desktop may give you access to the nvidia/ati control panel, try to adjust the resolution that way.

Boom Sceen Resolution

Thanks 5th.!
When I go to "Graphics Options", it gives me options as to settings.
I choose the 800 X 600 to no avail.

If you can't figure it out, start the computer in VGA mode and run it that way. The other option is buy a larger monitor and run it at 1024x768.

Press F8 to get the boot menu - like you would to start it in safe mode. VGA mode is one of the menu options.

Screen Resolution

Will Do GLC!
Just dawned on me that this is only happening on internet pages and not even all of them.
Resolution on the rest of the programs is s it always has been.
Any thought on that?

Thanks,
Jack

Try turning off compatability mode. It's in the tools tab.

Thumbs up Screen Resolution

Many Many thanks to all who lent their help on this!!!
Never thought to do a system restore; which did the trick!!!
I suspect it may have had something to do with IE8
Guess they're going to keep tinkering with this untill everybody goes to a Mac.
Going to try to roll back to IE6.

Best regards,
Jack

Why not just use Firefox or Opera?
