What happens if you try a different mouse?

What's the brand/model of your pc?

If it's an older system it may be related to your BIOS Legacy settings.

Get into the BIOS; Find "Legacy USB support" with either USB keyboard or USB mouse devices attached. This feature has to be enabled (ON). It will allow usb keyboard/mouse to work outside the Windows.

Some mice come with their own software drivers/controller software. Windows usually covers that though. Have you checked Logitechs website for drivers for that mouse?

If that does not work then I would go with a mouse with a PS2 connector. Or even try a $2 adapter. http://www.google.com/products/catal...wAg#ps-sellers

Ironically, I have an older computer that requires a flash drive to be plugged into a USB port for it to even work.
