Smile Press F1 to resume, Xp keeps rebooting

I recently added Xp back to my boot menu. I got hacked and windows was removed from my boot options. I don't have an XP recovery disc, so there was a lot of "manipulation" that I had to do. I am using a dual boot system with Xp Pro and Xandros. I was missing some files and had to put them back where they needed to go. Upon the first boot of Xp after its revival, I got a black screen with a white bar at the bottom that looked like it was "loading", then after the load it took me to my XP and booted normally. The firts thing that I did was rum Malwarebytes and it found nothing. Then I realized that my Kaspersky Anti-virus 2010 database was corrupt so I decided that I would uninstall it and then reinstall it. I uninstalled it through add/remove programs and then came to realize that I had to use the Kaspersky removal tool to completely remove it before reinstalling it. I downloaded the removal tool, used it, "restart computer for changes to take effect". I reboot the machine and I get a message after hardware detection that says . I have never seen this before so I just pressed F1. That took me to my boot menu where I could choose to boot between Xp and Xandros. I choose Xp and I get the same white bar at the bottom of the screen, get to the XP boot screen and then after about 10 seconds Xp reboots. This happen everytime i try to get into Xp. I tried going into safe mode(all options) but it does the same thing. I have no issues getting into Xandros.

I was wondering if this could be a possible BIOS issue since I added Xp back to my boot loader, or if my CMOS batter is going low.

Please help. Thank you.

Instead of safe mode, choose - disable restart on error - and it should bluescreen instead of reboot. The stop error should give you a clue.

I don't have that option when I press F8. I have "safe mode", safe mode with networking", safemode with command", "Last know good configuration", and "start windows normally". Thats it.

You must not have SP2 or SP3 incorporated.

I know that I have SP3. I don't know what you mean by "incorporated". I know that after the hack happened the first thing that I did was log into xandros and check out all of my files and folders in my C: drive where windows is. There were some files in my reycler(not recycle bin) that where some S-1-5-??? files. My boot.ini file was gone and the ntldr was not in my root directory. If you want the details of everything that I have done to get thus far I will be more than happy to let you know. If it helps, I have LILO as my boot loader.
