IE will not conect to internet

I wiped my drive and did a fresh install of win 2000 2nd edition.
I am on a Lynksys wireless router. Windows network and router shows I am connected but IE will not launch. I have never had this happen before after at least a dozen installs. I am sending this post through the same router with my LT.

Are you connected wired or wireless? Are there any flagged devices in device manager? Are all drivers installed, including the motherboard chipset driver?

Never heard of Windows 2000 2nd edition - exactly what do you have with what service pack level? What version IE?

You have to install the ATI video drivers for that.

You need to install SP4 and IE6. Have you tried Firefox?

Boot it into safe mode and uninstall the video driver - and get SP4 on there ASAP. Then go to ati.com and get the right driver. You will probably have to look in the legacy section.

That may not be the optimum driver.

Dumb question. I installed the ATI program w/driver. Do I remove the program + driver ? I downloaded the AMD catalyst software suite.

thanks a bunch

Your choice whether to install the whole Catalyst, or just the driver.
