Folders switch automatically
My folders (Windows XP) turn automatically along with my webpages in Firefox and my mouse freezes occasionally. I disabled my add-ons in Firefox to try and solve the browser problem but hasn't done much. I suppose it's a hardware problem? I read some suggestions to reinstall Windows but I really don't want to do that.

Have you tried clearing all cache/history?
Tools > Clear recent history.... > Clear now Or you could do a Disk Cleanup which is under Accessories > System tools > Disk Cleanup
