The XP search window can't search by size, but when your search for all files is done, you can SORT by size. Just make sure you have it set to view details.

EzyStvy,
Close but no cigar bro. U can search the files you "name" by size but not search by size alone. WHY DID THEY GET RID OF DOS ANYWAY? Thanks glc. I will continue to look, but I am sure you are correct. |

You can borrow my pc. All I have to do is fill in the second field in the SIZE part and click the search now button
Filling in the Name field is optional.

Simple and easy solution here built into XP.
start > search > use search companion (the old one if you have two versions) > choose all files and folders > under the search above "search" choose 'what size is it?' > type in the amount of KB you want it to find < SEARCH! This way EVERYTHING on your computer that is over the size that you state will pop up, then you just sort by size. He does get his cigar. Don't need to add searchname and you can search by size alone. Last edited by Anomo; 05-03-2010 at 08:53 AM. |

Anomo - see the screen shot in post #3. Is the suggestion that has already been suggested the same one you're suggesting?
