Cool finding removed programs

I removed a program I thought was irrelevant. Turns out, not so. I assumed it would still be in the recycle bin but... The program is "Apple Application Support". Even though I have no Apple products, there are some particular files that will not open without AAS.

Searches have yeilded nothing. This application must still be here somewhere. How do I find it?

Removing a program isn't as simple as deleting it. If you did only delete all the files, yes it should be in the recycle bin IF it wasn't to big. Plainly uninstalling the program makes it disappear.

Exactly how did you "remove" it?

I uninstalled it. It was rather small. I searched for it online to just download it again but I couldn't find it immediately. I will take more time to try to find it. Unless you can give me info regarding another program that will do the same thing. And, actually, I don't know what it was for. I just bought this used laptop and it (AAS) was there. I figured, I don't own anything apple, so I uninstalled it. I was quite surprised when I downloaded another program with some photos/movies, tried to open one and the computer asked for Apple Application Support.

I have the same download on another computer. I'll check that one to see what I need to open those photo/movie files on that computer and see if it's compatible with this one.

I have so many programs on this used laptop and it takes a lot of time to go through each to see how important it is, what it does, do I need/want it, etc, etc.

Any other tips?

I'm just curious, what OS are you using? It seems like this is Macs equivalent to "Windows picture and fax viewer" (just a tad more advanced).

Btw I didn't find the normal version, but here is pro application support

That is really all I can do, the rest will have to be handled by the pro's :P
