display problems

all of a sudden my windows xp dell latitude d620 is dark. The screen is real light. Anything I might of done by accident?

The Dell machine "is dark", and your next sentance says the screen is "really light". Can you expand on this a bit?

it's not bright. I have to put my face rather close to see it. It's visible, just real dull looking. I guess you would say it's on the darker side.

oh thank the lord!!!! my daughter was playing with it the other day. did some research and found that FN and the arrow keys make it dim and bright. Ahhhhhhhhh

Think he meant that the screen was working, but the lights were of. Like a gameboy (advanced and earlier), the screen will show things, but you have to be in light to see it clearly.

Anyways, good thing you found out what the problem was
