I have done a clean install of windows 2003 Sever R2 Enterprise ED.
Every EXE file i try to run ie driver... Flashes up the CMD window with the message "program to big to fit into memory" I originally had 512 mb memory, i doubled that to 1gb and still recieve that message. Alot of post on other forums say that the file is corrupt. Tried this this with no success. other say that the files are dos programs i can't even install drivers. Every exe file gets the same response regardless of size even service pack as they are exe files get the same response any help would be much appreciated Last edited by Wild-Turkey; 06-03-2010 at 11:41 AM. Did you install Server 2k3 from a genuine CD or from a MSDN download? If from a download, it's corrupt.

Update
I believe it to be a conflict between hardware and software
I have 4 (IBM Thinkcentre 8424 KMH) machines. The one i had server on i formated and reinstalled XP pro. I still have the same problem with " program to big to fit into memory" on al exe files Original disks I have since formated a second machine and reinstalled XP Pro. Also has the same problem i think there must be a setting in bios or somewhere that needs changing These machine come with XP Pro as standard. They where clients on a company network before i purchased them. have had a look in bios but can't see anything that refers to preventing exe files running. any help please now i know why i normally stick to clones rather than brand names |
