Screen flicker

Hi there, new here.

My issue is that i recently changed my PC out for a newer one just got the tower and kept my old monitor on which untell this morning worked flawlessly on my old machine. so i got everything set up on this new machine and now i notice that when the PC is loading, or you scroll through a web page click a link etc, that the monitor seems to flicker and move. It's very annoying I'm not sure the out come of how PC games show up yet as i haven't tried one yet.

So im wondering the monitor worked before like 4 hours ago, there's no speakers next to it or other appliances which would interfere with it. so what is going on.

Only thing i did notice is on my older PC i used to use an adapter to plug into the video card but for this pc screen is just black so i use the reg blue connector. Would that have anything to do with. Picture quality and stuff is nice and crisp when screen isnt shaking.

any help ideas would be appreciated.

Try making sure the connection is good. Push it in tightly, and use teh screws if it has.

No go checked all moniter connections there solid,no prongs missing on wires either. Also just tried re-installing the video card drivers again no fix

OK FIXED soulution after well allday scouring forums i came across an article saying hey does your power supply have enough juice to run your video card??? So i look at PSU it only has 245 watts the video card required 300 watts so i ripped my old power supply out of old PC which is a 545 watt and popped it in no flicker at all now.

thanks guys be sure to pass this solution on if you see this kind of problem again.
