Installing XP
I just inherited an older Dell Latitude D410 from work, and I would like to wipe it and start anew. The only problem is that there is no internal disc drive, only an external one. So how do I go about installing XP on it?

If it was manufactured after 6/2004, you can press Ctrl+F11 on startup to use the Dell system restore.
EDIT: Just posted today - if you have no other choice, Install XP Without CD Drive or Flash Drive Last edited by glc; 06-17-2010 at 09:54 PM. |
