Boom boot up problem in windows 2000 professional

This gateway desktop will only boot up in safe mode. I have tried disabling the cache but no luck.
Can someone give some help on what to do next?

If I try and boot up normally I get a stop error screen telling me to check any new hardware and software I might have installed. I haven't installed any.l

We need to see what it says before the 4 codes in parentheses. It will say something like:

STOP: 0x0000007D INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE

And maybe something referencing a .sys file.

You sure about that? No stop error code in the STOP: 0x000000xx format?

A guess - the hard drive is full, no room for a pagefile.

Send a message via Yahoo to toomyg
If it is an INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE error I had this happen on Windowss 2000 sp4 and I had to take the hard drive an hook it up USB to anther computer and run chkdsk on it and it fixed it.

It's not. It's a NO_PAGES_AVAILABLE error.
