Looking for some Win98SE drivers
Picked up an older machine running Win98SE. Had to add a separate PCI USB card and wanted to add a flash drive. They show up as "PCI Universal Serial Bus and Seagate USB Mass Storage" in the Device Manager. Anyone know where I could find the drivers? Thanks.
BTW, I tried several different Linux distros including Puppy 5 and the original Win98SE worked the best by far. So much for trying to update it. |

You have to get 98SE drivers from the card and flash drive manufacturers.

The USB connections card didn't come with drivers. Got it off of eBay from some Hong Kong seller. Worked fine in WinXP Pro. Isn't there some general driver I could use?

Nope. 98SE was not plug and play USB. Why did you buy it on Ebay when you can get cards from Newegg that come with drivers? Trying to save 10 bucks can bite you in the butt. Same goes for flash drives - if you stick with name brands such as Sandisk, there are 98SE drivers readily available.
