Issues with 'drag, drop and scrolling'.

As this issue is on the farm home computer and I only have access to it when I'm here, I've noticed that 'now' the drag and drop features are not working for the desktop screen, nor does the scroll feature work while having Ie7 browser open and working.

I've checked with several different mice known working etc to ensure that it wasn't a hardware issue, but it isn't. None will work.

System is Win XP with SP3 installed, running Norton Anti-.

The SP3 was installed soon after it was available.

The scrolling, drag and drop issues appear to only have started sometime last week.

BTW, the scrolling features will work fine in Windows Word etc., but not the browser, as in fact, scrolling will not work while posting this thread.

Regards

Do a system restore back to a date/time when it was working.

Might also want to check and be sure the drag and drop option is checked. Right click the Task Bar > properties>Start Menu tab>Customize button for Start Menu>Advanced tab>check Enable dragging and dropping.

Looked at and verified as being enabled.

I also went to Tools>Int.Options>Security and checked each to make sure 'drag n drop' were enabled.

I'll try the 'Sys Res' next and see what happens.

Regards and thanks

Well, after all these weeks and not being able to figure out just what the problem is, I've narrowed it down to Adobe Flash Player 10.1.

If this 10.1 is not installed, all scrolling functions for my mouse, dragging and dropping icons on the desktop screen and the rest of Adobe will work just fine.

Once I download the Flash Player, the problems with scrolling and d&d and opening a pdf will hang.

So, I guess I just won't be able to use the Flash Player as Adobe wants me to pay to find out why I'm having the problem.

Exasperating.
