Program will not open...
So the other day my PS3 media server (PS3 Media Server) was having trouble connecting to the playstation. I decided to update java, but got an error message that the installation file could not be found. To remedy this, I uninstalled java and reinstalled. When I restarted my computer it would continuously crash.
So I booted in safe mode, and when back to an old restore point. Restarted and successfully installed the newest version of java with no problems. Unfortunately, my PS3 media server was still not finding the playstation. I reinstalled the program twice with no luck. Finally just uninstalled it. A day or two later I realized my IP settings on my PS3 reset and it wasn't the program at all. I reinstalled the media server, but now when I double click on the program (on desktop/start menu/and program folder) I get the hourglass icon for a split second but nothing pops up. I don't see it in the processes. I even reinstalled and checked "Start PS3 Media Server after installation" and I get the same problem. Nothing appears to happen. I installed the program on my second drive, same issue. I ran CCleaner thinking my registry got screwed up from all the installing/uninstalling, which is still likely the case. Still didn't seem to work. I'm running XP SP3. |

I actually tried this, but did it again since you suggested. Went back a week before all of this occurred. When I try and open the application I get a ".jar file missing." Upon looking in the program folder it appears as though half the program isn't installed.
Used the uninstall.exe. Then reinstalled. Same problem. Program never comes up.

Good I possibly, uninstall the program, then find the folder in the registry and just delete it? Or am I making this too simple?
