XP logging on screen

In XP, one used to be able to delete the logging on password using "control panel, user accounts". Now that all of the windows updates are installed, it appears that it can only be changed for a new password.
Has anyone got a comment on this please?

Jack

I am trying to get rid of the log on to Windows password completely, because my partner is now using my computer.

Did you do this and UNcheck the box so that passwords won't be required?

Might also want to consider adding a user profile for your partner. Then he/she can have their favorites folders etc...
