Remove Windows Movie Maker

I need to make my XP leaner as its on a netbook with only 4GB storage. Its not filled with 3.5Gb.
Am thinking of removing windows movie maker as its not needed.

Searched around but seems that its a "system component" and cannot be uninstalled. I hope someone knows of a way to do it.

Thanks

Movie Maker is in folder c:\Program Files\Movie Maker on my XP system. I would try renaming that folder and then rebooting the machine to make sure everything is OK. Once it is determined that the system doesn't require that folder for anything then i can be safely deleted. However, it won't buy you much disk space as it only uses less than 10M.

I just tried to rename it on my system and it wouldn't let me, says it is in use by another program so it may be required by the system for some reason.

What netbook do you have? My Acer Aspire One has 2 SD card slots. I use one of the slots with a permanent 4G SDHC card to use as additional disk storage. If I was in need of more space I would go with 8G or even larger.
