What do you want to use for your default image viewer?

Hold the Shift button down and right click on a gif. Select "Open With", find that program, and click on it, also checking the box that says "Always use.....". Repeat with a jpg.

Thank you for your reply....I have no idea what is set for my default image viewer now...but I do have psp thumbnail viewer on here....I have hundreds of pics on my
pc....it would take me hours upon hours to go thru each one and change them as
you have suggested....I was hoping there might be an easier way.....guess I will just
leave them as is....I appreciate your help.....Thank you!

You only have to do this with ONE of each type. That's how you change the default.

Right now, PSP is your default viewer - that's why they have the PSP icon. If you need to know exactly what they are, you have to use Folder Options - View - and uncheck the box that says "Hide extensions for known file types". This will then expose the .gif and .jpg extensions.
