Bootable DOS with externaal EXE File included

I have the boot image from "all Boot Disks"...
I have an EXE file I want to run from within DOS after I boot...
I have followed your Video on how to build the disk; however the EXE file does not show up on the DOS directory after boot...

Question: how do I get it included in the dos directory so I can use to run diagnostics on my hard drive with the EXE file...

Thanks in advance...

What problems are you having with the harddrive that make you think you need to run diagnostics on it?

Copy the exe file you want to run to the floppy disk from wherever it is now. The file doesn't need to be in the DOS directory, it can be in any directory on the disk. You can either CD (change directory) to the directory it's in or you could edit the PATH variable to include the directory the exe is in.

If it's something you only need to run once, copying it to the root directory is probably the most straightforward.
