Hi,
Oracle decided to install on my external drive (i.e., this is not my fault) which at the time was drive J. I was moving my external drive around and now the drive letter has decided to be K. So now Oracle can't find itself when I run it from the Start. Is there a way to just map my external drive back to J? I have tried: 1. pulling external drive out, turning the PC off, turning PC on, making sure no other devices are plugged in (that would use J), and plugging back in. Didn't work 2. Changing shortcut properties for all Oracle programs to map to K. Didn't work cuz the one that matters does not use a drive letter. That letter must be in an Oracle configuration file somewhere, and I don't know which file to look in. So it would seem easier to just put the stupid drive back to J which is what it has been since time immemorial. I'm trying to train for a career as a DB Administrator, but seems like the littlest things stall me! ![]() Thanks, Natelle San Diego |

Lovely. Thank you. I guess I just needed to hunt around. Thank you for doing it for me.
