black bars internet explorer 8

two of the bars at the top of my IE8 have turned black with no writing in them....what is the cause/cure for this?

Cause: Bug

My cure: Press [leftShift]+[leftAlt]+[PrintScreen] and click OK (or Yes) to toggle High-Contrast mode On. Do it once again to toggle back to normal contrast mode. Now test IE.
