Emergency Repair Disk

Just wanted to know how often one should update there Repair Disks in Windows 2000. I have been looking for info and never found what I wanted. Seems like the best recourse would be to do one just before putting new software on your computer. Any info would be appreciated ,Gary

Iwas always told, "just before you start to make changes" and then "when you are certain that your changes are stable and successful, make another one"

I always keep a couple of Norton Ghost Image set, One that was made when I had just built and loaded the system, and one that I update everyfew months.
