Cool

Have never ran 98ME, I have 98FE and recently built a new PC and put XP on it. So far I love it. 98ME is same kernel as SE, FE and 95. XP uses the NT, 2000 kernel. Is it worth it? For me yes. If you read the forums here, many people are more than pleased with 98 and ME. Others wouldn't leave 2000. Still others are like me and love XP.

I don't care WHAT version of Windows 9x you have (including ME), XP is much better.
Caveat: Only IF you have the hardware to run it!

Spoke too soon. Hit the first wall. Have a HP4200C scanner that I attempted to install last night and it refused to even attempt running XP. When HP said it was for WIN98 they weren't kidding. Funny I ran the compatability test from Microsoft before building this new PC and purchasing XP and it flagged my HP712C printer but not the scanner or software. Well the printer installed, but the scanner software refused to even attempt. May take advantage of the dual boot I set up on this one yet.
