Admin account for XP...need help
hey, i've been using WinXP Pro and i just created another account that had my name on it. before it was just called Administrator and i added a password. but now that i added another account, the "Administrator" account has disappeared. i would really like to get it back. i remember something about the "Administrator" account only comes up if there are no other accounts. but i can't delete the other account i made. it needs at least one admin acct. i had all my settings perfect and i must have had some files that i wanted hidden b/c not even the other admin account can find them. is there a way to login again as the "Administrator"? i'd really like to get my settings back on that account, b/c w/o it, i don't see some programs and files. i'd hate to reload some of these too. thanks

Log off and at the log on screen hit Ctrl + Alt + Del "twice" then type Administrator and the password.

If you have TweakUI for XP you can set it to show the "Administrator" account on the log on screen as well as the other accounts. I don’t have the link, but I will try and find it and post it here.

You can also go to system restore. Restore to before you changed the account and it will get rid of the unwanted account that way.
