I have one user on my network that cannot access the internet through our Proxy. She is configured the same as everyone else. Her workstation can see, connect to, & ping the proxy server. When she tries to access the internet she gets the "connecting to proxy server" message and then it craps out after a few minutes.

Help!

Thanks.

Try Telnet from the client machine to your proxy server on the proxying port?
if proxy server address is a.b.c.d and port is xxxx command will be
telnet a.b.c.d xxxx
on the telnet window if u do not see an hourglass and do see an ip address then its not a transport/protocol related issue
if above is not happening then please verify the port on which your proxyserver is listening too

Please provide
a) the type of proxy server .. MS-Proxy.. squid .. etc
b) have you specified the correct port or using the correct client if using socks proxying!

Thanks.

PS: Sorry for the Skeleton info but I'm not into short stories!
