heylo i tried to install my (failure) win2000 disc (which is a glorious failure of a win2k disc). it didnt work (5 different keys wouldnt work) and now i am stuck with the boot menu that gives me less than a second to choose between win2k and 98, the default being 2000, which at first simply didnt work, now has been deleted, and even the small partition it was on has been formatted. still i am stuck with this hooorrrrible boot menu which gives me a dead end trying to start win2k unless i switch to win98 and press enter within about a second. I NEED HELP!!!

Look for a file in your c:\ root called boot.ini. If you find it, rename it to boot.old and see if this fixes it. Also look for a file in the root called ntldr and move it somewhere else.
