Boom Not enough extended memory to run windows !!!

Please help !!!

I am getting error messages on an old desktop computer that I have had for a while. I’m trying to rebuild this computer and have Win 95 as the operating system. I replaced the hard drive, and everything works - except for the
error messages regarding "extended memory".

The messages are: “not enough extended memory available to run windows”,
and: “insufficient memory to initialize windows. Quit one or more resident memory programs, or remove unnecessary utilities from your config.sys and autoexec.bat files and restart windows.”

Can anyone tell me how to correct this problem ???

At the DOS command prompt, I typed, C:mem and I got the following results:

Memory Type Total Used Free

Conventional 635K 29K 606K
Upper 0K 0K 0K
Reserved 133K 133K 0K
Extended (XMS) 1,280K 68K 1,212K

Total memory 2,048K 230K 1,818K

Total under 1 MB 635K 29K 606K

Largest executable program size: 606K (620,896 bytes)

Largest free upper memory block: 0K (0 bytes)

MS DOS is resident in the high memory area

Also, my current config.sys is:

C:\CONFIG.SYS

DEVICE=C:\WINDOWS\SETVER.EXE
DEVICE=C:\WINDOWS\HIMEM.SYS
DOS=HIGH

And, my current autoexec.bat is:

C:\AUTOEXEC.BAT

@ECHO OFF
PROMPT $p$g
PATH C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND;C:\DOS
SET TEMP=C:\DOS

How can I correct this problem ???

Do I have to add more memory ???

Thank you,
