Manually set Virtual Memory, Defrag question...

I went through the procedure (set to no VM, disable rearrange programs..., & run defrag) to manually set Virtual Memory to 2.5 times the amount of RAM installed (4.3gb HD, 160mb RAM) hoping to get a little system boost. Now, when I defrag (I use Power Defrag), the indicator goes to about 56%, then shoots to 100% & is done. Never did that before. Is that normal when you manually set your own VM? -kd5-
